RVHCC Colab
LLRC collaborates with the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition (RVHCC) to support public health efforts, prevention work, and community wellness across the Greater River Valley area. Some key results of this collaboration are RVHCC identifying and referring individuals, businesses, and organizations to LLRC for naloxone training, and both organizations providing workshops and support during school SUD Prevention Days and Wellness Days. Together, we help bring prevention education directly to students, staff, and the wider community.
RVHCC’s mission is to promote community-wide health and wellness by working with individuals, businesses, and organizations to provide education and positive support services. Their vision is a safe, supportive, and informed community with access to quality healthcare and the resources needed for overall wellbeing.
Serving the Greater River Valley region, RVHCC offers programs and initiatives that improve quality of life, strengthen community health, and connect residents with prevention-focused support.

The HILLS is staffed by trained peers who use their lived experience to support others and help build a recovery-ready community.
The Western Maine Addiction Recovery Initiative (WMARI) is a regional coalition formed in 2015 that brings together community members and professionals to address substance use disorder through education, advocacy, prevention, and compassionate action. OPTIONS Program
LLRC collaborates closely with the OPTIONS Program through Oxford County Mental Health Services (OCMHS) to increase community safety, overdose prevention, and access to treatment. Within the OPTIONS Program, two OPTIONS Liaisons serve Oxford County, including Glenn Gordon, who regularly works along with the LLRC staff to provide naloxone training, harm-reduction education, and support for individuals at risk or impacted by substance use.

The OPTIONS Program (Overdose Prevention Through Intensive Outreach, Naloxone, and Safety) is a statewide initiative designed to reduce fatal overdoses, improve connections to treatment, and offer supportive outreach in every Maine county. OPTIONS Liaisons respond to individuals after overdoses, provide harm-reduction resources, and help connect people to recovery, treatment, and community supports.

Oxford County Mental Health Services, operating under Community Concepts, employs the county’s OPTIONS Liaisons and supports the delivery of these critical services. Local schools play a critical role in building resilient, informed communities. By working together, LLRC and its school partners promote safety, early intervention, and positive pathways toward recovery and wellbeing.
OCJ Collab
Oxford County Jail
LLRC partners with the Oxford County Jail to support individuals preparing for reentry into the community. Through this collaboration, LLRC provides one-on-one recovery coaching inside the jail, helping residents build recovery goals, connect with resources, and establish support systems prior to release. LLRC also supplies the jail with community resource bags, filled with necessities and helpful items donated by local community members. Upon Release, these bags are given to aid in supporting individuals during their transition back into the community.
LLRC and The HILLS Recovery Center work together to ensure continued peer support once individuals are released. LLRC primarily supports those returning to the River Valley area, while The HILLS provides peer support and recovery coaching for individuals reentering the Oxford Hills region. This shared approach helps people connect with ongoing recovery resources close to where they live.
The Oxford County Jail serves individuals from across the region and partners with community organizations to improve reentry outcomes, reduce recidivism, and strengthen overall wellbeing. By offering recovery support, planning, and essential resources before release, LLRC, The HILLS, and the jail work together to create safer, healthier paths forward for those returning home.
