The Maine Recovery Council

Larry Labonte Recovery Center is proud to be a recipient of funding from
The Maine Recovery Council (MRC).

This support strengthens our ability to expand services, offer community naloxone training, increase access to harm-reduction resources, and enhance recovery support across the River Valley area. Through this partnership, LLRC can continue building a safer and healthier community by addressing the impacts of substance use disorder and supporting recovery at every level.

The Maine Recovery Council directs the distribution of Maine’s opioid settlement funds to evidence-based programs throughout the state. Established under state law, the Council ensures that these funds are used to address the opioid crisis through initiatives such as expanding access to naloxone, increasing availability of medication-assisted treatment, supporting prevention efforts, and providing recovery-focused education in Maine communities. The Council is composed of 15 members appointed by state and local leaders, representing a broad range of voices from across Maine.
